Armando Sancho is a former Los Angeles gang member who has transitioned into law enforcement. Sancho, however, who is surrounded by corruption, finds that life as a police officer is just as morally bankrupt as life as a gangster. After being implicated in the shooting of an innocent man himself, Sancho is then pressured to testify against his loose-cannon friend and partner, Salim Adel, who has a history of abusing citizens.

The cinematography of Eliot Rockett is also laudable: The city is not only rendered in the usual hot and gritty texture of urban landscapes, but is imbued with sense of oppression that is palpable.

Honestly, what a cheap knock off to training day I feel that Cuba Gooding Junior was trying too hard the movie really has no point. I personally think they could’ve done way better be original. Stop trying to copy training day.

A ridiculous plot, nonstop, mindless swearing, and horrible, grainy, and shaky cinematography make this a film to avoid at all costs. There's no realism at any point in the 1 hour 37 minute runtime, the corrupt cop storyline has been done a thousand times before, and the ending was garbage. There are apparently entire divisions of police dedicated to being as corrupt as humanly possible, and none of them get caught. Then there's the fact that the police actively recruited gang members and tried to kill fellow cops to prevent them from snitching. How original. I'm not against swearing, but about 90% of the dialogue was swearing using the same phrases over and over again. The rest of the dialogue was just as bad, again being beyond silly. All of the characters were unlikeable and received awful development. The pacing was poor, and the acting was mediocre, although the script didn't do anybody any favours. The cinematography was woefully bad because it was all handheld rubbish. Whoever thought it was a good idea to make the film as grainy as possible should be banned from working in film. Finally, the visual effects were acceptable, and the soundtrack consisted of awful rap music.

Not Too Rubbish At All. Why Does It Get Canned?? Very Well-Shot, Equally Suited Soundtrack With Some Very Solid Acting. I Think In Being Compared To Other Police-Corruption Films Exploring The Pressures Of The Job, Sight Is Lost On This Being A Good Stand-Alone Edition To That Kind Of Genre. So In Light Of That, I Found It Insightful & Quite Well Done.

Synopsis
