A Little Something Extra is predictable, saccharine, manipulative and contrived. But it is also a genuinely funny and occasionally quite moving wee film, with its heart in the right place. Go to Full Review

VegasV 4d This is one of the most heartfelt and beautiful films done on the very special people who are blessed in ways many do not understand with that little something extra. I was totally immersed in the story, the unfolding of events and how what may be looked upon as out of the norm - is really a special realm of the life existence of what is truly reality. The use of those on and in the spectrum, as it should be done, was incredible. I sat in my seat for many minutes afterward, seeping in the impact of this artwork in the world of cinema! This film never punches down but instead embraces and celebrates the differences in every individual while avoiding cheap jokes and shock value. My favorite movie of the year so far! See more David B 5d This was a fun romp through a disabled summer camp for some jewel thieves hiding from the law. Without mocking the disabled, the film allows warmth and understanding to dawn on the would-be thief and his demanding father. Funny and sweet. But, soon, neither of them are acting anymore, are they? A story of connection and love. It's not perfect -- far from it -- but it's a movie that wears its heart on its sleeve. I wish more movies were like this. It is not shot in your usual commercially-palatable formula (there were only a total of 6 people in my cinema theatre and three of them walked out before the end), but it is painfully honest and all the more charming for it.
