Joaquin U @Joaquin1 Mar 23 A slow-burning drama. This is a neat movie, and with that I mean that it is a clean, methodical, competent production, but it just doesn't provoke anything in the viewer. Good acting. It's a movie you can totally skip, but it won't be horrible if you don't. Dull entertainment, but somewhat entertaining. See more Brandon J @Brandon456 Feb 16 I literally just finished watching Aftermath after being unable to decide what to watch, and having kitchen work to be done for about a half hour. I planned to passively watch the film, as I never haven heard of it. I often do this with films I don’t expect to enjoy or give enough preconceived respect to offer it my full attention. I found myself rewinding every 60 seconds because I was completely giving myself to this film and wanting to see the 2 leads actually put on quite a performance. I truly found myself caring for them both and actively fully invested in the characters’ journey through grief and loss. I may have been more interested in the story and themes throughout, as I have struggled myself with a personal battle of mental health issues and depression for quite some time. I probably would not be able to watch this 6 years ago. That being said, I found the performances by Arnie Scoot to be exceptional and a was moved enough to write this surprisingly positive review.
