Leith P @blueleader Jul 3 Peaky Blinders haircuts and profanity instead of stiff upper lip, Blue Leader, tally ho, wizard prang, kites and cups of char. The dialogue is wooden, the acting calcified. The real young men flying spits and hurries may have been terrified out of their minds, but it would have been a sodding poor show to show it in front of their mates. And don't get me started on uniforms, inappropriate ranks and RAF protocol. Talk about six o'clock low. This isn't just bad, it is so terrible I nearly kept watching it to see if it could possibly get worse. I'll never know. Sad ending but loved how the young officer took charge once his new recruit came in showed really leadership. Budget for this movie must have been around £20 and it wasn't worth that. Unshaven officers, a brand new pilot arrives and he's already a Flight Lieutenant FFS! Don't waste your time watching this crap. The original Battle of Britain film is the one to go for. However, as with Lancaster Skies, why is Callum Burn permanently unshaven? Also saluting protocol - head dress needs to be worn by both superior and subordinate in UK Armed Forces! Any military advisor would insist on getting such basics right!
