Martin B @RT44235356 01/08/2024 Simply a horrible movie. Dana Andrews and Farley Granger had only one character they could play so that's the characters you see in this movie. Granger's character simply annoying. Disagreeable, antogonistic and confrontational with everyone he came in contact with. Andrews character more a moderator then anything explaining away the bad behavior of Granger's character. In the end Granger's character sees the light which we knew would happen because they told us at the beginning it would. I've always stayed away from Dana Andrews movies, decided to watch this one and realized why I avoided them in the first place. See more 11/02/2015 A powerful, dark picture. Hollywood back in 1950. It contains the best scene from any film of this genre in which Martin's down and out neighbor explains to him that although it's a rich world no one is giving you anything, that you must be prepared to take it from them.
