Claudiano A @RT04813221 Apr 13 Extreme Tarantino kind of movie. Brutal? Yes. But totally based on real life in Rio de Janeiro certain areas. BOPE Squad is 100% real, and the type of training and action reported in the film is 100% real. Zero illusion or exaggeration which surprises so many people. Obviously, it's not what happens in the rest of Brazil, just as the violence in some areas of NYC doesn't represent what happens in the rest of the US. Anyhow, the movie IS breathtaking. This is a brazillian movie, made from brazillian people, for brazillian people, for only brazillian people that know how the police and the drug traffickers works in BRAZIL. The movie depicts BOPE, the elite police squad from Brazil, that does their job: stop banditry. Classic must-see for brazillians, never dissapoints. Para quem não é brasileiro, "Tropa de Elite" pode parecer um filme gratuitamente violento e marcado por morais ambíguas e questionáveis. Para quem é brasileiro, é um retrato brutalmente realista das relações de poder e opressão entre os órgãos de segurança pública e as classe sociais menos afortunadas, assim como da enraizada e incurável corrupção daqueles que juraram nos proteger.
