I’m not sure who is so desperately trying to get across the rewritten narrative of the Sherlock Holmes legend, but casting Moriarty as a black female, add nothing to this disaster. Millie Bobby Brown delivers another confident and engaging performance, showing Enola's growth while keeping her charm and wit. The mystery is well paced, with enough twists to stay interesting without becoming confusing. Henry Cavill once again brings warmth and intelligence to Sherlock, and his scenes with Enola remain a highlight. The beautiful locations, strong cinematography, and energetic score make the adventure feel bigger than ever. While a few supporting characters deserved more development, the film's emotional moments, clever storytelling, and satisfying ending make it a worthy addition to the series. Overall, Enola Holmes 3 is a fun, heartfelt mystery that balances action, humor, and suspense, earning a solid 9/10. I wouldn’t say either of the first two films were particularly brilliant, but they rode high on the charm and likability of their cast, backed with a fairly solid mystery. Here in the third installment, it’s starting to feel like the spark is going out a little bit. It’s still an entirely watchable effort, and there’s mystery once again is solid enough, but it feels more scattered, there’s a few too many ideas here that felt underdeveloped, the script relied even more on conveniences than usual, and the film didn’t always know how to handle its more mature tone, taking some of the fun away. It’s just not as strong of a screenplay overall. Also, Sherlock’s role in here is significantly diminished, to the point to where he just felt mostly wasted. Like I said, it’s entirely watchable. I think I’d even watch it again. But the spark is undoubtedly going out. See more Read all reviews
