From a healthcare workers perspective this was a chilling watch. Her feeling "God" in the beginning was initially a little confusing but once I got the hang of what was going on it made more sense. I also thought it added to an unknown factor in the movie. I love the suspense and never knowing what’s going to happen. The ending of the movie was pleasantly not at all what I expected. It truly delivered. I loved this movie and would highly recommend it.

Saint Maud is the movie equivalent of a child who can't decide what they want to be when they grow up. It was kind of a horror movie; it was kind of about someone turning to religion after a very vaguely conveyed earlier trauma; it was kind of about loneliness. As often happens when you try to do too many things at once, it did none of them well. Because Katie/Maud's history was never made even remotely clear, her psychological progression through the movie was implausible. And other than Maud, and to a lesser extent, Amanda, all the other characters were just cardboard tropes. Don't waste your time on this movie.

Quiet movie. Loud loneliness. Not really about faith more about isolation getting too loud. Morfydd Clark holds the entire spiral together. A human mind left alone long enough can become its own religion.

This movie was stinky poo poo. It was not enjoyable. TikTok said this movie was one of the best horror movies ever. Wrong. Just bad. Stinky poo poo bad. If I could give it zero stars I would.
