It benefits from a solid performance by Lee as the blue-collar fighter who takes justice with punches and kicks, but it often falls into a vacuum of redundancy that takes all the pulse out of its predictable revenge plot. Es una película de explotación convencional que no va más allá de lo que es. Tiene sus fallos que en parte pueden deberse a la reescritura que se hizo durante el rodaje y también a la eliminación de escenas por la censura de la época. Así que no es de las mejores películas de Bruce Lee, pero no deja de ser emblemática. La razón de su importancia es porque fue la que dio inicio a la etapa dorada de Bruce Lee como nueva estrella de acción. Esto no fue nada más que el comienzo y Bruce Lee pasaría a hacer películas más dignas. The Big Boss tiene una buena historia, un buen concepto y una ejecución con aciertos y errores. Pero la razón por la que es una película importante es porque fue la primera de las cinco películas más emblemáticas de Bruce Lee. Así que es un inicio aceptable que luego iría conduciendo a algo mucho más grande. Mi calificación para esta película es un 8/10.
