It was eye-opening to learn how something as small as a cigarette butt can have such a large impact on marine ecosystems. The film was engaging and did a great job explaining the issue without feeling overwhelming. It made me think more about the importance of keeping our beaches clean and how small actions can make a difference. See more Abby A @AppropriateAdult 1d The Cigarette Surfboard is an inspiring film about the difference that people can make in pursuing policy changes when something is wrong. It is also about responding to injustice with creativity and art, and how effective creativity can be in making people aware of that injustice. Making a surfboard out of cigarette butts was a brilliant way to use what my kids used to call "cigarette poop" when they found butts on the beach. As an activist myself, I learned a lot about advocacy and was reminded that people often respond more readily to being "shown" rather than being "told". I highly recommend this film for everyone who loves the ocean, and for everyone who loves justice.
