This was the worst and most BORING movie I watched in my lifetime. It is also produced in an embarrassnlgly poor manner. Dialogues, music, angles, lights, it’s a disaster. My wife and I scrolled forward the entire time, it was unbearable. If you want to torture yourself for 1.5h - watch it. If you want - on the other hand - see 100% brilliance in a movie like of this genre, watch „Hope Gap with Annette Benning and Bill Neighy! The contrast to the idiot film „45 years" could not be bigger.

This is one of those movies where you expect something to happen; a big plot twist, but that’s never realized. And that’s ok; we are all so conditioned to a formulaic film. This one is not that. What I liked was the real life type of dialogue, and the acting. However, it’s a melancholy story, and the characters are pretty flat. I also had a hard time understanding Kate’s preoccupation with an old flame who died tragically years ago.
