An American adaptation of the Israeli show of the same name, "Euphoria" follows the troubled life of 17-year-old Rue, a drug addict fresh from rehab with no plans to stay clean. Circling in Rue's orbit are Jules, a transgender girl searching for where she belongs; Nate, a jock whose anger issues mask sexual insecurities; Chris, a football star who finds the adjustment from high school to college harder than expected; Cassie, whose sexual history continues to dog her; and Kat, a body-conscious teen exploring her sexuality. As the classmates struggle to make sense of their futures, the series tackles the teenage landscape of substance-enhanced parties and anxiety-ridden day-to-day life with empathy and candor.

What to Know

Critics Consensus

Euphoria returns with less than the sum of its parts in a disjointed cavalcade of forced narratives that leave its talented cast stranded in the wind.

Adulthood, according to Euphoria, is a miserable exercise in futility -- a bleak experience in which nobody actually grows up. That nihilism proves to be a weak foundation for a show otherwise well positioned to reinvent itself. Go to Full Review

Some viewers may miss the Euphoria they fell in love with... But I think this was the best possible way that Euphoria could have overcome the losses and changes it was forced to push through in the time between seasons. Go to Full Review

This is Euphoria with a much wider canvas. Go to Full Review

The first two seasons of this drama were notorious for adult behaviors in a high school milieu; now the characters we've grown to know are in early adulthood, for better and very much for worse. Go to Full Review

Euphoria didn’t just cheaply sensationalise its wild teenagers, it understood them: how they thought, felt and suffered. This series, so far, doesn’t even try. Go to Full Review

This season is disgusting, disturbed, depraved, and oh so delicious. We love watching messed up things happen to messed up people. Go to Full Review

Jumeye N @RT34634160 9h This show sucks without Labyrinth! His music just makes this show. It's really hard to watch with the garbage music they have on it now! Ugh!!!!!! See more Thomas D @Dzurs 9h After watching two episodes of Season2 Euphoria - I think its safe to say Im just not interested in these people any more.It seems to me the photography has shifted to a brighter more uplifting look which doesn't quite jive with the whole show. It seems flat - they should have quit while they were ahead See more Lizette N @Lizette9 11h Maddy is everything! See more Pav T @RT20325323 11h Episode 2 of this new season built up so much more compared to the first episode. I anticipate a big mess coming up and I can’t wait for it. I don’t mind that the characters are now in adult timelines with different lifestyles. But I do miss Labrinth’s music. See more Matthew C. @Woolly 18h Excellent show! Love that it’s shot on film! See more Ibán D @RT26893372 23h I really did enjoy the first 2 episodes but I do see a disconnect between the charachters, I hope we get to see them more together throughout the season.
