Critics Consensus

Traversing a classic crime formula with an atmosphere that's as sweltering as Samara Weaving and Kyle Gallner's chemistry, Carolina Caroline injects its doomed love story with an invigorating shot of adrenaline.

Samara Weaving and Kyle Gallner, two fine actors rarely granted the glow that comes with a proper star vehicle, positively bask in it here; together, they give a potentially standard film an active heart rate.

Caroline & Oliver do a good deal of wrong, but every ounce of it feels right thanks to leads with a beautiful blend of passion, determination & sensitivity, and a director with an impeccable handle on style and an ability to make his movies deeply human.

This caper is relatively small in its ambitions, but it gets the overheated chemistry between the two leads right: It’s a near-perfect drive-in movie for a humid summer date night.

Samara Weaving continues to flourish as a character actor. Whether it’s her smile, her wider expressions, or her entire body language, her performance as Caroline is amazing. What makes the role so human is how often she stumbles.

Samara Weaving and Kyle Gallner have fantastic chemistry. Kyra Sedgwick has about a 5 minute scene that is so good that she deserves an Oscar nomination.

Bonnie & Clyde-like story about an ill-fated couple that begins with small cons and evolves into bank robberies. Well cast, written and acted. I highly recommend.

Generic movie about a small town girl falling for the 'bad boy', who eventually leads her down the wrong path (shocker). Only compelling part of the movie revolves around the fear of the main character turning into her mother. In the end, she knowingly did
