A Good Girl's Guide to Murder Season 2 feels darker, grittier and more mature thematically. But the mystery at the heart of this season feels a little less intricate and effective compared to the first season’s. Go to Full Review

Russell W @RT07150738 1h A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder Series 2 delivers a bold and compelling follow-up, embracing a much darker and more emotionally intense storyline than its predecessor. Emma Myers rises impressively to the challenge as Pip, portraying a far more complex and tortured version of her character. There are a couple of shortcomings. The relationship between Pip and Ravi lacks any real chemistry and Ravi’s presence in some scenes seems totally unnecessary, with some of his lines falling flat. Another disappointment is the limited role for Asha Banks’ Cara, who was such a standout in Series 1. That said, when Cara does reappear alongside Pip, their chemistry remains as strong and engaging as ever. Overall Series 2 is excellent. It is a darker, more ambitious instalment with a standout central performance. Hopefully there will be a Series 3 with Author Holly Jackson at the helm. The series would be elevated further by the return of Cara to a more central role. See more evie R @RT10257821 6h This season is so incredible! As a big fan of the books, it was so interesting seeing this being adapted so perfectly. Holly Jackson did a great job at turning it into a script, and this season is so visually elevated compared to season one. I would recommend this to anyone and I hope we get a season 3! See more Maddi K @Maddi-3 22h It doesn't do the book justice. The pacing was messed up, too fast than too slow. The characters didn't feel like they had anything inside. I don't think it was the actors fault, I think in a different movie/ series they would be really good. Second season started okay. Just like the first it got more and more off kilter. Acting was poor overall, writing got worse every episode so cannot blame the actors that tried to keep it together. Forced myself to finish it. I do not understand the high marks for season 2. I will not watch season 3. See more Read all reviews
