Blake- N @PBSAniDom Apr 8 I thought Cassandra's Dream was pretty mid-tier overall. It has a solid premise and a strong cast, including Ewan McGregor and Colin Farrell, but it never fully reaches its potential. The film tries to build tension around moral dilemmas and consequences, but the pacing feels uneven and the story doesn’t hit as hard as it should. There are moments where it gets interesting, but they’re spaced out by slower, less engaging scenes. It’s not bad, just kind of forgettable compared to stronger films in the same genre. See more Frank C @Frank146 Jan 6 I do not get all the negative reviews. It just seems like it's the thing to do for Woody Allen films later in his body of work. Colin Farrell puts on an Oscar worthy performance. The whole cast is superb in their roles. Great plot that treads familiar territory on familial tension. Entertaining mix of drama and suspense. Tom Wilkinson, as the bad uncle, instigates the crime and suffers no consequences in the end. Very well acted by the main players.
