Critics Consensus

3 from Hell may be of interest to fans of the trilogy, but those not already on board with Rob Zombie's gory saga will find little to lure them in here.

3 from Hell has moments of abject horror, but fans of Zombie's autumnal provocations will be rewarded with his most earnest and laid back nightmare yet...

This one's really for diehard Zombie fans ... provided they weren't hoping he'd hit them with something new.

It makes you grateful for the laconic Michael Myers (Zombie's or Carpenter's), a psychopath with the common courtesy to shut the fuck up while spilling your entrails.

It's the weakest of the Firefly trilogy, but that's not to say it's not completely without merit. It's certainly at its best when Sheri Moon Zombie is front and center.

3 From Hell looks every inch the Rob Zombie movie; its aesthetics follow a familiar pattern, and he seems quite content to just let his characters amble on through their days, resurrected largely to take one more road trip.

3 From Hell is a high octane firestorm of frenzied violence and disarmingly charming character chemistry. While it's not a needed sequel, or perhaps end cap, to the series, it's definitely a fun one.

Why Are They Still Alive? I was really looking forward to this because I loved the first two. I heard the reviews weren't good and never got around to watching it. After rewatching them, I thought, what the heck, why not? Man, was I disappointed. I liked the opening documentary style showing these killers on death row. It gave me a Mindhunter vibe. But I don't understand why this movie exists. The ending of The Devil's Rejects was perfect, and they clearly died. So how did they survive all those gunshots? Was it the Devil's work? None of it makes sense. How was Baby up for parole after everything she did? It feels like they wanted another movie and made up some stuff to bring them back. I also don't understand the late 80s setting while keeping the same 70s style. The biggest problem is that it's basically the same movie as the second. They're on the run, commit random killings, end up at a prostitution bar, and someone from their past comes after them. It's the same movie again.

If you start watching the movie just liking the characters and wanting to see more content from them than the movie is not so bad with one of the main actors of the movie series suffering terminal illness it's understandable but the movie seems very rushed storyline is completely unbelievable and the introduction to a new family member isn't as bad as it seems after you watch it a few times all in all the movie just seems rushed but still great content from great characters we love

The third film in the "Firefly" trilogy by Rob Zombie. An interesting take in that the protagonists in the film are all horrible, brutal people...but you'll still be rooting for them over everyone else. Typical (and enjoyable) Rob Zombie work.
