Bailey is living the good life on the Michigan farm of his boy, Ethan and Ethan's wife Hannah. He even has a new playmate: Ethan and Hannah's baby granddaughter, CJ. The problem is that CJ's mom, Gloria, decides to take CJ away. As Bailey's soul prepares to leave this life for a new one, he makes a promise to Ethan to find CJ and protect her at any cost. Thus begins Bailey's adventure through many lives filled with love, friendship, and devotion.

I went into it feeling a bit low and came out of it feeling a bit better. It's a reminder that sometimes there's a beauty in just going along with ordinary life, which is short, even more so for dogs.

If there are to be more sequels, I'm hoping that future Baileys cut the chat and hark back to a time when heroism trumped cuteness and movie dogs left the punchlines to the human members of the cast.

Absolutely stunning. Very emotional and captivating. Beautifully written and brought to screen. Very capable cast all excels in character. Amazing cinematography. Adventure, suspense, heartbreak, joy and lots of intrigue. What if the "Have fun, save the ones you can save, and just be here now" is really the purpose for us all? Highly recommended

Honestly, I don’t now what the pro critics are talking about. A Dog’s Journey is an amazing film! I am obsessed!! I would definitely recommend watching the first movie, A Dog’s Purpose, beforehand, which is also great. I absolutely love dogs, and this film was the perfect one for me! The plot is amazing, the actors are great, it was just an amazing watch overall! I finished it all in a day. The ending is so sad, it made me cry - don’t worry, they were happy tears! Personally, i think it is much better than the first one, but I love them both! I can’t wait to read the books. If you want a great family movie, love animals/dogs, or are just looking for a good watch, I would definitely recommend these films!
