10/08/2016 Absolutely atrocious. The cameraman is left asking, "Hey, guys? What does 'focus' mean?" while the audience ponders what the fuck is happening. Was that a shot of an elbow over a fire? Is this a six-minute driving montage where we only get to see the main character's nose? Between the actors not knowing how to act (aka forgetting lines, not showing emotion, and perpetually spiking the lens) and the audio design being complete trash (including several scenes where background noise drowns out potential plot/important dialogue between the main characters), this film is, overall, -3 out of five stars. Unfortunately, the lowest available rating is a half star, so that'll have to do. All I have to say is, that's an hour and a half I'll never get back. See more 08/27/2016 Of the existing Purge Rip Offs, this one is worth watching simply because it's so terrible. The camera is stuck on auto-focus for the entire movie, thereby concealing all of the action from the audience. Fortunately, the characters feel compelled to describe much of what they see and feel, but even then it's impossible to hear them behind the atrocious sound design. The plot is completely indiscernible, complete with a blink-and-you'll-miss-it plot twist and an abrupt non-ending. There are at least 30 characters introduced in the first half of this movie, and the only important ones are mute and disguised with masks. Almost every single actor spikes the lens at one point or another - makes a great drinking game. Which is essentially mandatory, because that's the best and only way to enjoy this film. Had this movie sought from its conception to be a slasher-Koyaanisqatsi hybrid, it may have been noteworthy. Instead we got this. See more 06/25/2016 This movie is awesome!
