The cast was fine, and there were a few scenes—maybe two or three—that really scared me, while the others were just okay. The ending was decent, nothing too crazy, but I really hope the next installment is better because I’d give this a solid 6.5 out of 10, mainly because it’s simple and straightforward. Instead of going for the unsettling "this could actually happen" vibe that made movies like The Exorcist so terrifying, it leans much harder into the killer doll concept. The result feels more polished, more cinematic, but also more distant. You never really get that chilling feeling that evil has invaded the real world; it stays safely inside the boundaries of fiction. Still, it's an entertaining horror film with a solid atmosphere, a few genuinely creepy moments, and enough scares to make for an enjoyable movie night. Just don't expect the same level of dread that The Conjuring delivers.
