Some viewers may long for a more outright condemnatory or celebratory narrative, but if Another Round opens with Kierkegaard, ultimately it ends up espousing the beautiful ambivalence of a different philosopher... Homer Simpson. Go to Full Review Chase Hutchinson Seattle Times Sep 6, 2025
A bittersweet existential dramedy that sees a magnificent Mads Mikkelsen lighting up the screen with one of the all-time great movie dance sequences, it’s a triumph as tactile as it is tragic. Go to Full Review Christina Newland iNews.co.uk Sep 23, 2024

Mads Mikkelsen is on vintage form in this boozy tale of family and masculinity. Go to Full Review Christos Tsiolkas The Saturday Paper Aug 19, 2026
Another Round’s gentleness is what makes it a winning, highly enjoyable film, but it also compromises its emotional force. This film was a delight and its refusal to judge is intoxicating. Go to Full Review Brian Eggert Deep Focus Review Jul 12, 2025

Another Round is as fun and life-affirming as it is splendidly realised and crafted. Much like catching up with a great friend over pints in the pub, you can’t help but want more of it. Go to Full Review Read all reviews

Quinn R @qritz7 1 day ago An interesting look at how much alcohol is crossing the line (or even if there is a line) and how it changes people - for the better and worse. Just didn’t care for it. What starts as a funny experiment between four teachers slowly becomes a much deeper story about friendship, loneliness, aging and finding a reason to feel alive again. See more Fig M @fig-mint Jul 20, 2026 Loved this movie, feels like a cozy book. See more Leonardo S @RT12111746 Jul 16, 2026 Filmaço! Terminei, matei uma garrafa de vodka e fiquei uma hora chorando no banho de tanta emoção e felicidade depois de ver essa aula de cinema.
