After a difficult struggle with fertility, Tori Breyer's dreams of motherhood come true with the arrival of a mysterious baby boy. Brandon appears to be everything Tori and her husband, Kyle, ever wanted -- bright, talented and curious about the world. But as Brandon nears puberty, powerful darkness manifests within him, and Tori becomes consumed by terrible doubts about her son. Once Brandon begins to act on his twisted urges, those closest to him find themselves in grave danger.

Although Brightburn doesn't fully deliver on the pitch-black promise of its setup, it's still enough to offer a diverting subversion of the superhero genre.

Yeah, it's a rehash of an old idea, namely amounting to the equivalent of satanic Superman. That said, it was a fun watch with a darker, unofficial reimagining of a benevolent superhero into a demonic boy with superpowers. Quite entertaining if you like horror films that don't take themselves too seriously.

Not the greatest movie but not a bad one either. It had 1 or 2 suprising jump scares and some of the scenes were very brutal and gory. It's your basic what if movie. Go see if you can still find at theaters.

Good flick, a lot of blood (it is more horror movie than anything else). Acting was solid all around as were the effects. Biggest gripe was how short it was. Thought they could have fleshed out the story a bit more.

The writer and producer should be put in a psych ward. This evil superman like story is pure dribble involving a psychopathic boy who kills all who ever cared about him with no redeeming story line or a plot whatsoever. Any psycho killers out there are the only ones who are crazy enough to enjoy this movie.
