Michael Bay is a great director, but he doesn't care about story development or character relationships. Enjoyed what Travis Knight did so far. Time for a new roll-out!

It shouldn’t be this good. It’s well acted, it’s personable, it gets better by the minute. The personal focus on Steinfeld and Bumblebee turns the series in a whole new direction, and it’s A++. Can’t believe Transformers 6 is one of the best of the entire series. Well done all around!

Great movie. Glad we got to focus on my favorite Transformers character for once. Its really sad to see how Bumblebee lost his voice but that's how well its done! Also liked Hailee Steinfeld as Charlie and JOHN CEEEENAAAAAA! as Agent Burns. They were both relatable characters who were so easy to get attached to, unlike a lot of the characters in most of the Michael Bay Transformers movies. The action was thrilling and the humor was actually funny. It wasn't awkward Michael Bay humor where there's a lot of pauses. It felt more natural. And, lastly, the throwback 80s music was AWESOME!! What a refreshing Transformers spinoff.

While core issues of believability and slight cringe that run through the Transformers franchise still remain in this installment, Bumblebee benefits from a refreshing retro setting, tighter storytelling and a plot that's easier to follow - which even despite some heavy retconning, still proves a fine achievement for a modern prequel.
