A Top Notch Crime Thriller from beginning to end. Tom Cruise as Vincent is, without a doubt, one of his best performances. Jamie Foxx delivers a solid performance (pre-Ray) as the cab driver Max. As do Mark Ruffalo and Jada Pinkett Smith. And even Javier Bardem surprisingly appears in just one brief but memorable scene (pre-No Country). Collateral is one of Michael Mann's best films, next to Heat.

This really drags. Formulaic and very slow, despite the action sequences - which is odd. Foxx is good and Cruise is OK, but there's just nothing to it. No depth and it's just not interesting.
