Director Francis Lawrence’s superhero horror mystery Constantine (2005) is still a blast. I’ve always had fun with this dark and dreary neo-noir style mystery with angels and demons. It’s not really accurate to the comic books, but this is a very cool and bleak picture that is endlessly entertaining. Keanu Reeves is awesome as the brooding, sarcastic, and determined exorcist detective John Constantine. Reeves is so intense and immensely entertaining. Rachel Weisz is insanely sexy and sympathetic as the LAPD detective Angela Dodson. She is very amusing as a chipper lady opposite Keanu’s sullen cynic Constantine. Tilda Swinton is excellent as the Archangel Gabriel with a chip on her shoulder. Peter Stormare steals the entire finale as Lucifer himself. His creepy portrayal of The Devil is iconic and highly amusing. Constantine still rules for Keanu Reeves’ awesome portrayal of John Constantine. Rating See more Sabih A @RT57875922 Jul 1 The Man who told Heaven: "No", but did he regret it? I was recommended to watch this movie for a long time, now I think I can see what the praise is for. I suppose it would also make sense why a demand for a sequel would be high. Because well we want to see more, it's like watching Avatar (2009) and being told we'll never this world ever again (good thing we did get a sequel{s}). Keanu Reeves does great as John, the story overall, as in: The plot, writing, pacing, and overall lore was very well executed. Somehow the CGI in this film as well was so well executed. I won't spoil anything in particular but the all the demons looked very good for a 2005 movie. I had a good time with the story John went on here, and it had some pretty good sort of hype moments as well. I don't really have much to add on from here.
