The filmmakers find no shortage of places for spiders to lurk and wring real suspense from most of the reveals. Go to Full Review

Crawlers doesn’t break new ground or showcase any particularly breakout talent, but it’s a craftsmanlike, highly efficient 81 minutes with logical beats, a good camera eye ... and an impressive combination of ... real and animatronic spiders plus CGI. Go to Full Review

Writer Jayson Rothwell and director Angel Gómez Hernández abandon all pretense of believability to deliver what feels like an exhaustive series of bug-themed jump scares, none of them original. Go to Full Review

[The] movie ... mostly does the obvious—a series of fake-outs and jump-scares—and, for the most part, doesn't do it convincingly. Go to Full Review

A fast-paced chiller that gets viewers jumping out of their seats – when they aren’t uncontrollably squirming in them, that is. Go to Full Review

Crawlers doesn’t reinvent the killer spider subgenre, but thoughtful filmmaking and plenty of squishy gore will terrify arachnophobes everywhere. Go to Full Review

Brandon 10 hrs ago I like spiders but u wanted more to a scare factor not just the creepiness of the arachnids See more Zachary S @Zach154 8 hrs ago Crawlers wastes no time establishing exactly what kind of cheesy creature feature it wants to be. It’s undeniably bad in places, but often in a fun, entertaining way. The film does a surprisingly effective job of making your skin crawl, creating moments where you can almost feel the spiders creeping around you. It also quickly establishes which characters you’ll root for—and which ones you’ll be happy to see get picked off. The first half builds some solid tension, although it eventually becomes frustrating just how many spiders can get dangerously close without anyone noticing. The CGI is surprisingly decent and rarely distracting, while the dialogue can be painfully cheesy, leading to plenty of eye rolls. Crawlers isn’t particularly good, but for a campy spider flick, there’s enough fun to make it worth the occasional cringe. See more zackshack Z @Zackshack 13 hrs ago This has plenty of creeps, especially if you are not a spider fan. However, the horror wasn't very present. There are some good gore effects and the spiders crawling were excellent. The story was fairly predicable and characters were basically recycled from other, better shut in horror films.
