Cooper L. @CooperLondon Mar 28, 2026 My dad is Jason London and pretty much all of those men are my founding fathers, but to me it’s like a military school soap opera. It’s so dramatic. I’m even texting my dad about it right now. It’s almost like a dramatic comedy. Whoever wrote this had to have been really, really stoned or going for a soap opera type of look or vibe, but I am totally invested. See more Nov 12, 2020 I enjoyed this film and thought that all the actors gave a good performance. Remember the story is about young men (teenagers) that are dealing with the possibility of going to war. Technically they were kids dealing with a very adult subject matter/decision that will change their lives. The story can give young people a different outlook on what it was like dealing with such intense pressure at such a young age, plus knowing the war itself was history in the making. See more Jul 21, 2019 I thought this was well-done and showed a different side of the war that has not usually been covered in movies before. See more May 30, 2013 This film felt like a high school play rehearsal. The acting was wooden and the direction a bore. This could have been a decent coming of age film but instead is just a shell of one. See more Nov 23, 2008 First of all i love brian krause but the story line of this movie is amazing See more Nov 21, 2008 The Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor causes 5 friends at a New Hampshire collage to debate the pro's and con's of enlisting. Meh. Writer/Actors/Director never sold me that the character where Collage students in 1941. Rather they come off as inventions of a writer/director in 1991 and his own musings. Worse is the incredably talky nature of the movie. Well other films can use that to there advantage if the talent is there on screen (see Spanish Judges and Conspiracy) here the acting is uneven, some good moments but not worth sitting threw the many scenes where the actings on par with a Grade 10 highschool play. Worse the two friends, Tim the pro-war kick ass one, and Kip the conscentious objector war is wrong one both come across as assholes, making sympathy for ether one impossable, since there in almost every scene this makes for a long 90 minutes. Skip it. See more Read all reviews
