Mild-mannered therapist Paul Safranek and his wife, Audrey, decide to undergo a process in which scientists shrink people down to miniature size to live in small communities. The irreversible procedure allows the people to gain wealth and a life of leisure while helping to cut down on the consumption of natural resources. As Paul gets to know his new neighbors and surroundings, he soon learns that living in a tiny suburb comes with its own set of huge problems.

It really missed some opportunities. Nearly no interactions with differently sized people: the same story could've been told without shrinking anyone. Squandered possibilities, following one guy's journey and he wasn't even among the most interesting people.

People making a mostly financial decision to have irreversible surgery to make themself around 5” tall and live in affordable luxury. What could go wrong? 25% is just too low for this. Enjoyable watch. I had a good time but I also love a good Vietnamese accent. Some lines felt forced by Damon but he squeezed what he could out of this. Hong Chau is the star of this show. Such a gem that really makes this movie what it is.

A little slow to start but well worth the time spent watching. Although Matt Damon, Christoph Waltz, and Udo Kier were excelent tallent, the show was stollen by actress Hong Chau who played Ngoc Lan. She had me busting out laughing a dozen times and crying a half dozen other. The plot was far out scifi but cute. The center hub of the movie revolved around little Ngoc, her character is memorable and a force to be recond with.

It starts off well and draws the viewer in, but then meanders off into confusion. Instead of drawing the viewer in with compassion for the suffering, it makes a mockery of it. The characters have no depth. There is no empathy. Even the main character, Paul, is reduced to a caracature. It ends with a whimper. The end is disappointment.
