Driver is a skilled Hollywood stuntman who moonlights as a getaway driver for criminals. Though he projects an icy exterior, lately he's been warming up to a pretty neighbor named Irene and her young son, Benicio. When Irene's husband gets out of jail, he enlists Driver's help in a million-dollar heist. The job goes horribly wrong, and Driver must risk his life to protect Irene and Benicio from the vengeful masterminds behind the robbery.

Ryan Gosling gives one of the best performances in his entire career. Done by minimal talking with majority of the time being silent. He let's his facial expressions do most of the talking. The film has nice Cinematography but out of all the film has one of the best nightlife sequences of all time. The nightlife in this film is top notch.

This is the embodiment of a cinematic masterpiece. What exists in this film is the perfect balance of thrilling suspense, passionate romance, moral ambiguity, and raw violence—all of which tap into our most bare human emotions and distill the human experience. Not to mention the nostalgic filter that coats this film—Los Angeles is transformed from a sunny California desert city into a sleazy, cool-toned, seductive metropolis. You won’t be able to take your eyes off it as it sets the tone for this fervent film.

One the great films of the 2010’s. The director captured lightning in a bottle with this sleeper. If you like Ryan Gosling this is peak performance. The cast is phenomenal, ranging from Oscar Isaac to Bryan Cranston just to name a few. The narrative, cinematography, and acting are top notch.

The fact that this movies rating is in the 90's and It Takes Two with Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen only has 8% is dispicable. Not worth the watch. Just watch It Takes Two instead and thank me later.

While I'm sad the good guy didn't get the girl in the end, I thought this movie was a blast! Only about 10% of the dialogue comes from Gosling which is kind of unnerving. I liked it.
