Critics Consensus

While not without its nostalgic charms, Rob Reiner's sometimes awkward adaptation of Wendelin Van Draanen's childhood novel doesn't reach the heights of the director's earlier work like Stand By Me.

See more Due F @RT14704568 Jul 14, 2026 Flipped is a heartwarming coming-of-age romance that explores how first love, family, and personal growth can completely change the way we see someone. Through dual perspectives, the film delivers a sincere message about empathy, appreciating people beyond first impressions, and understanding that true feelings often become clear with time.
