See more Blu B @RT43513976 06/28/2024 It's a Guy Hamilton film with all the bad tendecies. The plot is very farfecthed and at certain points gets a bit convuluted though not terribly. The action can be very over the top as well. This weighs everything down as this doesn't have a lot of quiet moments save for the ending which is the best part and is solid. The blowing of the dam and the traitor there hunting almost feels forgotten about and could've probably been cut completely. This could've just been a generic WWII action movie and not a sequel to the classic because really there is no character development or expanding upon ideas in any serious attempt. Any attempt is weighed down by the farfecthed plot and over the top action that runs throughout this. The special effects are pretty good though save for the laughably bad decapitated head. Especially the end effects are really good minitures. The music isn't bad but not that catchy. Everything else is just ok about it. Shaw & Ford don't really have that much chemistry and Weathers character feels like he's almost completely seperate from the group and could've been cut as well. there is some nice locales in this and good camerawork but everything is just weighed down by the over the top action and plot that just is not absurd but very farfetched and filled with plot convineces. It never weaves the action into something meaningful (save the end) with the characters and just isn't as tightly written an adventure as the first. Unless your a die hard Ford or Shaw fan I can't really recommend this to anyone. See more 007tribefan B @JimBo007 02/03/2024 Cannot believe this movie isn't rated much higher. I saw this at an Army base theatre. The theatre was packed, and the scene where Ford and Shaw are deciding how long to set the fuse to blow the damn inspired a STANDING OVATION. RIP Carl Weathers.
