In April 1945, the Allies are making their final push in the European theater. A battle-hardened Army sergeant named Don "Wardaddy" Collier, leading a Sherman tank and a five-man crew, undertakes a deadly mission behind enemy lines. Hopelessly outnumbered, outgunned and saddled with an inexperienced soldier in their midst, Wardaddy and his men face overwhelming odds as they move to strike at the heart of Nazi Germany.

Critics Consensus

Overall, Fury is a well-acted, suitably raw depiction of the horrors of war that offers visceral battle scenes but doesn't quite live up to its larger ambitions.

The scenes that attempt to humanize the protagonists, while also portraying the darker side of war, are too contrived. But the raw battle scenes are riveting...but you cannot ignore the script's moral high ground.

An impressively solid World War II movie of the kind they don't make anymore.

While these orgies of violence are staged with tense, gruesome precision, they don't convey much beyond what we already know. Namely, that war is hell. Message received.

Fury wants to be more. But the reality is that director David Ayer lacks the formal technical skills and the ruthless daring to succeed.

Good tank battles but the "human" story is so clumsily told it has zero impact

Fury is hard hitting, well acted and keeps the audience watching throughout due to it's captivating action sequences and gritty feel. For what it lacks in character depth and story background it delivers everywhere else. Interestingly with it's star studded cast the focal point is held together brilliantly by Logan Lerman who takes the film emotionally to the next level. Great watch.
