Martin F @manekenthe 4h a horror movie set on a kids playground → surprisingly fresh territory. xochitl is great, and for a tubi original, this punches above its weight. think cooties meets children of the corn meets weapons, with mind-controlled kids and genuinely creepy atmosphere. fun rather than scary. characters make bafflingly dumb decisions, the dialogue is clunky, and the last 15 minutes lose steam. but the core idea is solid enough to carry it. The concept is promising, but the execution was terrible, like Darius's execution by natural selection. The Hive as an entity wasn't even properly explored or defined. Questions like how it propagates its infection are so vague that I struggle to pick whether it was the fluid or the sheer stupidity of the people that got them infected. I wish to add more, but I've wasted more than enough time watching and bothering to leave a review.
