Critics Consensus

Unoriginal and unfunny, Ice Age: Collision Course offers further proof that not even the healthiest box office receipts can keep a franchise from slouching toward creative extinction.

So, here we are: five films in, and by the time we've finished with the introductions, there's hardly any time for a movie or jokes. Laugh? Not even once; not even close.

The familiar voices of Ray Romano, Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Max Greenfield make for some distinct and headstrong characters - a winning formula, if there ever was one.

An overloaded story: too many characters and subplots that never fully developed. Repetitive humor: jokes that had worked in previous installments, but by the fifth film had become predictable. Loss of prominence for the original cast: Sid and Diego had fewer opportunities to drive the story forward. Conventional family conflicts: Morita's courtship and wedding, along with Manny's overprotective attitude, felt like an unoriginal formula. Franchise exhaustion: the feeling that the saga was continuing without much more to offer.

It's the least of all the movies. Still has some fun moments. It was great that Buck returned, Simon Pegg is such a delight. Nick Offerman in the movie is also an huge plus. Loved the Neil deGrasse Tyson cameo

One of the Worst Animated Movies of all time, Ice Age has overstayed their time in cinemas, there's no interesting characters, and everything is just bland, there's nothing to talk about, tbf Scrat has some funny bits, and buck was also the best part of the entire movie, the voice actors are wasting their time on this franchise. 2/10

Far from the strongest entry, but it's still a fun, colorful adventure. Scrat's space antics are easily the funniest part, while the animation, comedy, and familiar characters bring plenty of nostalgia. The story is increasingly ridiculous, the villain is forgettable, and the franchise's heart feels weaker than before. Still, it's entertaining enough if you're watching mainly for the characters and chaotic humour.
