Power-hungry King Hyperion (Mickey Rourke) and his ruthless army march across Greece, leaving burned-out villages and the corpses of the innocent in their wake. Hyperion's goal is to find the long-lost Bow of Epirus; with this invincible weapon, he can cast the gods out of Mount Olympus and become master of the world. Critics Consensus

The melding of real sets, CG work, and Tarsem's signature style produces fireworks, though the same can't be said for Immortals slack, boring storytelling.

Tarsem's work is infinitely more exhilarating when he’s relieved of the need to be in any way serious. He should play dumb more often.

It's handsome, but it looks as if the entire film was shot in a giant spray tanning booth. Kind of fun though.

Overall, Immortals is a pretty decent popcorn flick. Will it stand the test of time? Probably not, but the provocative special effects will leave a lasting impression on the audience.

Entertaining and at times exciting, there’s always something visually interesting onscreen, but the film is not a brainy experience by any means.

...Singh is a good match for todays CGI uproar, and 2011s The Immortals gives him something worth chewing on; Greek mythology filtered through Hollywood moonshine...

The film is fast-paced and the dialogue doesn't make your ears bleed... For incidental pleasures like these, I'm willing to forgive a swashbuckler a great deal of heterodox stupidity.

Immortals kind of have a touch of " 300 " but even better. The story starts to slow but it starts to develop in the middle, yeah it has somewhat good action scenes, the spectacular special effects are great to see in 3D. The movie otherwise was solid with decent acting by Henry Cavill and good acting by Mickey Rourke. In my opinion it could have been done a little better. So for this being a sold film with good solid action, I give " Immortals " a C.

This is way better than I expected. I wanted to look at some early Henry Cavill work as I've always been impressed by his fight scenes in movies. This early movie contains some of the best sword and spear fights I've ever seen. Definitely get now why his fight scenes in The Witcher are so brilliant even though the idiots running that show (into the ground) had no idea how to make it and thought it would be a great idea to piss all over the source material, which caused Cavill's departure. On the plus side really looking forward to Highlander.

I don’t understand all the negative reviews. This is a fun and very engaging action movie, with striking visuals, a strong story, and good acting. Give it a watch! Very entertaining.
