Julia L @RT88363672 04/28/2025 This movie is devastating but I think it deserves more credits than it gets. It’s dark, sad, slightly triggering at times, but it shows how grief can unravel a person- especially one with obvious trauma and PTSD. I found myself engaged throughout when during most movies I’m reaching for my phone to scroll through social media at slow points. Definitely not a feel good film, but it never pretends to be one. Spoilers: I loved the twist of Jack’s mother being dead at the end, I think it really tied together just how damaged his mind is. I also love the last shot where it pans out to show that there is no next door neighbor, he was just slowly reliving his childhood trauma in a the form of experiencing his repressed memories as an adult. I would watch this movie again now that I know the ending.
