Once a narcotics officer in the LAPD, Ray Owens settles into a peaceful life as sheriff of Sommerton Junction, a quiet border town. That peace is shattered when Gabriel Cortez, a vicious crime lord, escapes from FBI custody and speeds toward Ray's town with a band of mercenaries. Federal agents prepare to capture Cortez. Ray is at first reluctant to get involved, but he soon finds he must rally his team and take matters into his own hands.

There's nothing particularly distinguished about it, but for Schwarzenegger fans The Last Stand provides perfectly undemanding entertainment.

The Last Stand is on par with Arnold's other films, and I loved it! As with all his action based movies, no one cares about the plot. We're just there for action. I will say, I was pleasantly surprised by the faces that showed up, including the sexy Jaime Alexander. Loved the cast and loved the action.
