The entire planet is thrown into mayhem when millions of people disappear without a trace -- all that remains are their clothes and belongings. Unmanned vehicles crash and planes fall from the sky, overwhelming emergency forces and causing massive gridlock, riots and chaos. Critics Consensus

Yea verily, like unto a plague of locusts, Left Behind hath begat a further scourge of devastation upon Nicolas Cage's once-proud filmography.

The effects are hilarious, the sets are rinky-dink, and the character names are funnier than a full season of 'Big Bang Theory,' and the "narrative arc" of our heroine is laughably predictable.

The first movie made from this material was all about the Anti-Christ taking over the UN. This one's about landing a plane.

The movie unravels in its own destruction. Every effort to milk the tragedy of the apocalypse is met with terrible music, acting and effects that soak (and drown) the pathos in camp fare.

…Left Behind seems entirely preoccupied with the mechanics of landing a jet aircraft on a motorway rather than any advanced theological questions...

Could have been much more. Sad that something that is supposed to be "uplifting" or "inspirational" turns out like this movie. Nicolas Cage's talent completely wasted here. Wooden writing and vague directing causes the tragic downfall of what should be aan amazing story to tell, pity ...

This movie absolutely sucked. Everything was predictable, the plot was so dumb, the characters were useless and not thinking at all. The effects were awful. Just please dont waste your time. I wish I could be my hour and a half back. 0 stars.

As confused and hopeless as its characters, Left Behind was seemingly any aptitude for filmmaking.

I enjoyed watching this movie when I was younger, around (14) — but now this is so unwatchable. Acting is terrible, script is just poorly written. I did not expect this kind of acting from Chad Michael Murray or Nicolas cage.

I've never seen a film about the end of the world be this uneventful. The music doesn't fit the scenes and the script is extremely hard to follow. It's probably not even worth your time in a "so bad it's good " way. There are a few moments like that but it mostly moves at a snails pace. The message is very preachy and beats you over the head with it.

Definitely not a 0 like the critic score says I'd say the audience score is more accurate I enjoyed it but it's not a good movie I definitely can't recommend it unless you're really that curious about it it's not the worst thing ever but it wasn't good either
