When Shirley (Loretta Devine), Madea's niece, receives distressing news about her health, the only thing she wants is her family gathered around her. However, Shirley's three adult children (Shad "Bow Wow" Moss, Shannon Kane, Natalie Desselle-Reid) are too preoccupied with their own troubled lives to pay attention to their mother. It is up to Madea (Tyler Perry), with the help of rowdy Aunt Bam (Cassi Davis), to bring the clan together and help Shirley deal with her crisis.

Like most of Perry's movies, this one oscillates wildly and shamelessly between raunch and pathos, leaving plenty of room for the performers to work. The lively ensemble includes a scene-stealing Cassi Davis as pothead Aunt Bam.

The ending where the mom dies,makes me depressed. It is like someone who gets killed for being innocent. I like the movie,but the parts of family fighting and arguing makes me emotional.

Tyler Perry as a director has a unique and special ability to be able to combine both slapstick comedy and true heartfelt drama in the same dinner table scene. He made me love this genre and style of dramedy.

While this movie has a stacked cast and humor does has it's moments, this movie is usually outshined by the stage play of the same name, which fans and critics agree upon. Only recommended if you're an hardcore Madea/Aunt Bam fan and/or that his stage plays aren't your cup of tea.

This is strange to say but; this is the worst movie I've ever seen with no likable characters and vengeful. It is clear why this would be the worst of the Madea series with indefinitely the most hateable people in the world
