Steven M. Oct 8, 2021 My favorite movie of that year! Simply splendid. The acting and directing and writing are beautiful. My pick for Best Picture over Moonlight. See more Katie D Mar 15, 2021 Perfect movie for a gray day! This film feels a little long and the editing/cinematography could use some work, but the acting is award-worthy! It is definitely Casey Affleck's best work and also a wonderful performance by Lucas Hedges! See more Jocelyn C @JosieMarie Oct 4, 2026 Wow, where do I even begin? This film has a way of staying with you long after you’ve finished watching it. Whether it’s a few hours later or months or even years on, its impact lingers on. Every aspect of this film is unique and powerful, and every performance is simply amazing. I’ve always been a fan of Casey Affleck and his work, but this role stands out as arguably one of the most powerful performances I’ve ever witnessed on film. I highly recommend this film to anyone who enjoys dramas and is willing to embark on a journey that explores themes of grief, love, family, and survival during challenging times. For me, it’s one of the most emotionally intense movies I’ve ever seen. While I don’t know if it would resonate with everyone, it’s definitely a film that deserves to be watched and experienced. After watching it, take a moment to appreciate the life you have by giving your loved ones a hug. It’s a devastatingly real, quiet look at a man crushed by a horrific mistake, trying to survive a trauma he can't forgive himself for. See more Robert P @Superbad Sep 22, 2026 Manchester by the Sea = a *4* star Movie!
