Sharply written and brilliantly performed, Mank peers behind the scenes of Citizen Kane to tell an old Hollywood story that could end up being a classic in its own right.

As an example of the screenwriting art, this film itself is pretty great. Go to Full Review Keith Uhlich (All (Parentheses)) (Substack) Dec 31, 2020
Mank is a love letter and a poison pen, though like much of its meticulous director's output, this film (that's not a film, though it's often made to look like one) is weighed down by the burden of time. Go to Full Review James Profetto Reel James (YouTube) Jul 9, 2026

See more JJ Mar 27, 2021 Cinematography is mind-blowing. If you are into this era of movies it is a must-watch. Loved it. See more Joe Mar 25, 2021 Overall liked the movie and glad I saw it. There was more jumping back and forth with flashbacks than I care for, but inserting the dates helped (but didnt entirely eliminate) confusion. See more Read all reviews
