See more D V @RT11182623 Aug 28 This picture is entertaining enough, but the timelines are so conflated as to give it the feel of historical fiction. The Holodomor was started 1932 and ended in 1933, the very same year that Hitler became chancellor. It's impossible to reconcile the event timelines as portrayed. Lloyd George didn't meet Hitler until 1936, so how did he arrange Jones meeting with him in 1932 or '33?? Then there's the Orwell/ Animal Farm problem; Orwell didn't write Animal Farm until ten years after the Holomodor. These are head-shaking historical timeline inaccuracies that were completely unnecessary to the telling of an otherwise important historical event. Not quibbling about story-flow or (especially) photography...it's the STORY of Russia's relationship over the decades with Ukraine. And of an amazing Welsh reporter named Gareth Jones---an actual, real-life historical person who travelled to Ukraine in the time portrayed.
