Akhil Arora The Long Take Podcast Oct 12, 2026
A frustratingly illogical police procedural that ruins an engaging premise by burying it under an avalanche of unearned twists. Go to Full Review

Pradhama Drishtiya Kuttakkar is a gripping cat-and-mouse game that benefits from smart writing. Go to Full Review

Just when a number of police procedurals in Malayalam seemed to be following the same narrative beats, Pradhama Drishtiya Kuttakkar injects the genre with some novelty. Go to Full Review

PDK has, relatively, an oddly comforting, hopeful quality — because if we were in the shoes of these four characters, we probably would’ve died of a heart attack. We are thankful to see it from a distance, despite being deeply immersed. Go to Full Review

The result is a gripping police procedural thriller that's cleverly written, packed with tension and twists, and never takes the audience for granted. Go to Full Review

DJ Sep 28, 2026 Loved it. Cast was outstanding. Much watch in theater See more Robin Sep 21, 2026 Reminded me of Drishyam but both sides have police on them. Really well made film. See more manoj p Sep 13, 2026 Superb crime thriller See more Express S @RT95149178 5 days ago Wooow what a great acting and a very good script. Thoroughly enjoyed watching it. Still in the hangover of this movie. Everybody acted really well. Hats off to all the actors who worked in this film. Itâ s worth getting an award. Same time entertaining and bit of comedy involved. Loved watching this. 5/5 See more Corpuscle 2 @Corpuscle22 Oct 11, 2026 Good mystery-thriller plot wasted. Packed with mindless, illogical, unexplained things. Worst: a crime branch officer's college-going daughter asks for the culprit's email ID to track his phone location. Ridiculous — if the police cyber cell can't do it, how can a college girl with just an email ID? Then the cheap shots: a Sabarimala devotee shown as a circle inspector, abused over his religion, while Quranic verses are praised. Cheap religious fanaticism from a director named Shahad — not surprising. The second half is an utter flop — boring, illogical. A bullet hidden in a book, a bullet carrying a fingerprint, a bullet melted into a ring — ridiculous nonsense, just a smokescreen. With a better director, screenplay and dialogues, and without the cheap political potshots and religious bigotry, this could have been good. As it stands: a lousy, worthless watch. One star, only for the acting — Vinay Forrt, Parvathy, Mathew Thomas and Sidharth Bharathan were all good. I cannot give it a 5 star because when I was watching at a theater everyone was laughing in scences where vinay fort showed up and that made us give a bit of breather , i agree but at the end of the day made us come out of the emersion See more Read all reviews
