The thrill of the hunt is gone in this hackneyed sequel.

The players hardly fail the material, but the Jim Thomas-John Thomas screenplay defeats all concerned. Go to Full Review

At first, the film seems no more than an old-fashioned monster-movie... However, there is a more disturbing sub-text, reminiscent of the cinematic aliens born of the Red scare of the Fifties, but rendered here more self-consciously for the Nineties. Go to Full Review

Glove's heroics are a plus, to be sure, in a film overflowing with violence. Problem is, the suspense that help make the original a winner is missing. Go to Full Review

It's filled with characters we don't care about and an alien creature we're not really allowed to understand. Go to Full Review

Jan Robert A @RT12529990 1 day ago This movie sure looks, sounds and feels like a movie from the early 90s. I saw it in the cinema back then, and later picked it up on VHS. It was great back then, and it's still great now, so many years later. It truly is a corny 90s movie, from their clothes, their lines and the plot. And I mean this in a good way, as it brings back memories of that wild age. It's set In the mid- to late-90s future, and is over-the-top. Weapons has all kinds of stuff on them, and the characters are like seen in Robocop and Judge Dredd (the Stallone one). It's both a typical 90s movie, but at the same time has that we-just-left-the-80s vibe. If you didn't live back then, you don't get what I mean. Danny Glover replaced Arnold Schwarzenegger, and was then mostly known for his role in the Leathal Weapon movies. And he plays more or less the same, with a dash of that 90s crazy cop. The original is still better, but this is etter than most sequel. See more Dominic T @Dom2Chilly Sep 24, 2026 6.1/10. Good action but visuals were meh. Lots of dark scenes and confusion. Some of the dialogue and characters weren’t that great either. A decent watch nonetheless. See more Frans B @FransB Sep 18, 2026 Very well done, considering it's been made 36 years ago (as of 2026). Writing not too bad, visual effects good for that period, good cinematography. Capable cast convincing in character. If you are a Predator enthusiast, this will suffice. Meat is meat and a Predator must eat hey? All the relevant action, gore, violence, drama, mystery, emotion, confusion and intrigue. Entertaining and captivating See more B P @Bradster69 Sep 1, 2026 Not Bad, but Not My Favorite See more Jerod S @jeroduptown Aug 29, 2026 Predator is now on our planet and what looked like gang warfare was really Predator feeding. While the CG for the early 90s is rough, the pull off of the predator mask was pretty good. See more Graham W @RT46601222 Aug 15, 2026 Just watched this again after ignoring it for so many years. Loved the first film one of my favourites ever but this follow up is so poor even for 1990. Danny Glover just comes across as an angry cop, no character development in the film. Poor script and direction and why are the special effects worst than the first one which was brilliant. I remember now why I have ignored seeing it again whereas I can’t get enough of the first and best predator film! See more Read all reviews
