An action-packed thriller where five ballerinas, on their way to a prestigious dance competition, are barely on speaking terms when their bus breaks down in a remote forest. With no other options, they reluctantly seek shelter at an unsettling roadside inn run by Devora Kasimer (Uma Thurman), a reclusive former ballet prodigy. From the moment they arrive, something feels wrong—and their worst instincts prove right. As the situation turns deadly, the fractured team must set aside rivalries and weaponize years of brutal training, turning grace, discipline, and even pointe shoes into tools for survival.

Critics Consensus

Starting off with a fun hook and diluting it with a plethora of clichés, Pretty Lethal doesn't reach its full operatic potential but doles out enough balletic action to remain reasonably en pointe.

While I’m reluctant to credit a film like “Pretty Lethal” with moving this exhausted horror subgenre away from its threadbare formula, it’s a twirl in the right direction. Go to Full Review

Nothing here is to be taken very seriously at all but it is mostly devoid of the suffocating, and often nihilistic, smugness one has come to expect from modern action films. Go to Full Review

Despite the constant mayhem, Pretty Lethal brings little that’s new to the dance floor. Go to Full Review

The film isn’t genre or trope-defying, nor does it carry any distinctive style. "Pretty Lethal"’s core standout remains just how much fun it has with ballet as not just a dance form, but a way of life. Go to Full Review

Pretty Lethal might have a killer logline, but it is pretty lame with its character development, leaving the final project stuck in second position. At least the action was on pointe. Go to Full Review

Not for nothing, but it’s great to see that a schlocky genre film like this is happy to include a talented actress like Simmonds, who may be deaf, but is happy to go along with this sort of nonsense, presumably because it sounded like a fun challenge. Go to Full Review

Doze04 T @RT42631558 2h Pretty Lethal gets 5 stars from me, I loved it. See more R. B. @R1313R 9h At first I though that this would be a boring action film with pretty girls needing to be rescued by some local boy. Boy was I wrong! It had action, class, heart and even some humor. Not much of a plot to get in the way of the story, but it was fun to see how the ladies used their ballerina training to deal with their situation. Definitely a fun watch, one that gave me the action fix I needed. 6.5/10 See more Tatiana H @RT44399775 1d Pretty Lethal delivers a solid watch with a refreshingly different premise, blending action with a ballerina-inspired storyline. The film benefits from the return of Uma Thurman, whose presence adds a layer of gravitas and nostalgia. However, while the action is engaging at times, some sequences feel uneven—particularly moments where it seems like only one character is carrying the weight of the fight, which takes away from the overall intensity. Despite its flaws, the movie offers enough intrigue and stylistic flair to keep viewers invested. It’s not perfect, but it’s worth a watch. See more Bobby H @RT87820547 2d I didn't expect to enjoy it as much as I did. It has plenty of clichés, but it was funnier and way more aggressive/violent than you expect. If you like horror comedy and great fight choreography, you'll probably enjoy this one. Think more Shawn of The Dead and less Black Swan. See more Jaycie N. @Jayn67 2d it was genuinely so funny to me, overall it was really good if you’re into like horror comedy’s See more Jordyn L. @asyouwish84 3d A silly thriller that kept me entertained the entire time.
