Cinema S @cinema_sensei Aug 21, 2026 Rewatching this is a huge nostalgia trip for me. Whatever its flaws, the effort put into the VFX and large-scale filmmaking was genuinely impressive for Indian cinema at the time. It feels like the kind of ambitious experiment that should've been valued more. The story and some CGI haven't aged perfectly, but its contribution to Indian VFX and the childhood memories it created make it special to me. Honestly liked how bold and flashy this was, even if the story gets messy. What Worked: • Visual effects during big action set pieces still hold up super well. • SRK brings so much charm to G.One, and Arjun Rampal makes an awesome villain. • The soundtrack is gold; “Chammak Challo” is an absolute banger that pops. The Friction: • The London setup part near the beginning really dragged for me. • Juggling too many ideas at once made the middle section feel clunky. Verdict: Watch it for the ambition, awesome songs, and effects. Skip if you need a tight plot. The story explores the idea of a video game character coming into the real world and the challenges that follow. The movie also highlights the importance of family, love and doing the right thing, making it more than just an action film. The music was catchy, the visuals were memorable, and despite its flaws, it felt unique and different from typical Bollywood films. For me, Ra.One remains a fun, nostalgic watch that was truly ahead of its time.
