A chameleon who has lived as a sheltered family pet finds himself in the grip of an identity crisis. Rango wonders how to stand out when it is his nature to blend in. When he accidentally winds up in a frontier town called Dirt, he takes the first step on a transformational journey as the town's new sheriff. pretty cool movie. good western tale. prolly couldve had some more action (they're western, they have guns, so more standoffs, shooting, etc.). rango had a solid character arc. lwk reminded me of rdr. don't see lots of westerns nowadays. 10/10 would recommend. edit: mb guys, I J's finished the movie. there was more action. a lot of making out as well. mb akh.

I know I saw this film when I was younger, but I really don't recount any of it, so it was nice to watch it again. It's just a really solid animated film for the family. Nothing special, but nothing to really dislike.

Definitely didn't understand this movie as a kid, but rewatching it as an adult is wondrous. You already know the basic premise and the names of the characters, and now as an adult you understand everything better. I love how realistic and gritty it looks. I feel that's it's one of the last major films to look like that in the past 15 years. I'm absolutely obsessed with the look. I no longer have the attention span to sit down and watch it thoroughly, but I do remember it very fondly.
