The film won’t be remembered as a campus classic, or even in the upper half of college movies, but it’s also not hard to see a world where somebody watches it at exactly the right time in their lives and proceeds to cherish it forever.

Roommates (2026) on Netflix was a disappointment. Sadie Sandler and Chloe East try hard as mismatched roommates, and there are a few relatable college awkward moments, but the script is uneven, the jokes fall flat, and it wraps up feeling rushed and forgettable. Let’s be real — this only got made with Sadie as the star because she’s Adam Sandler’s daughter. Pure nepotism at work. Not funny or engaging enough. 4/10.

The film isn't a masterpiece, but it has its charm and, above all, it provides a good time in front of the screen. With its ups and downs, Sadie Sandler establishes herself as the family heir and proves she can carry her own film without being in her father's shadow, which is a major draw. Here she shines in her own right, delivering a pleasant comedy that portrays the more complicated side of living with roommates.
