The film won’t be remembered as a campus classic, or even in the upper half of college movies, but it’s also not hard to see a world where somebody watches it at exactly the right time in their lives and proceeds to cherish it forever. Go to Full Review

Questioning the moral fortitude of these comedies used to be something only critics did [...] Now 'Roommates' is getting in on the act and I respect the film’s sense of introspection. I just wish it had funnier jokes. Go to Full Review

[While the] framing device is purposefully heighted, Sandler and East are fantastic at bringing a level of emotional realism to Devon and Celeste’s complicated bond, which is two parts Girls, one part Single White Female. Go to Full Review

Despite some unhealthy messages about college life and an unnecessary outside narration, this film has highs as well as lows. Go to Full Review

While more commercial than Mile End Kicks, Chandler Levack’s humanist touch seeps through every aspect of her funny and achingly moving Roommates, anchored by two brilliant performances from Sadie Sandler and Chloe East. Go to Full Review

Aliyah W @RT67259423 2h Sadie was amazing playing this role. Hope to see more of her on my screen! Wasn’t a huge fan of the ending but other than that, good movie! See more Grady W. @tbgreviewz 8h Worst movie I have ever seen. Way too gay and woke and horrible acting and no plot. 0/10 I wanted to bleach my eyes watching the main character try to act. See more Oscar Z. @RT31000295 11h Roommates (2026) on Netflix was a disappointment. Sadie Sandler and Chloe East try hard as mismatched roommates, and there are a few relatable college awkward moments, but the script is uneven, the jokes fall flat, and it wraps up feeling rushed and forgettable. Let’s be real — this only got made with Sadie as the star because she’s Adam Sandler’s daughter. Pure nepotism at work. Not funny or engaging enough. 4/10. See more Monse R. @monrh_ 15h Dramatic film, hate Celeste, love it but not to much See more sebastian andres O @Yoamoalcine 17h The film isn't a masterpiece, but it has its charm and, above all, it provides a good time in front of the screen. With its ups and downs, Sadie Sandler establishes herself as the family heir and proves she can carry her own film without being in her father's shadow, which is a major draw. Here she shines in her own right, delivering a pleasant comedy that portrays the more complicated side of living with roommates. See more Yoshi E @Prosaic1x 19h I wish I could unwatch this. The performances are solid but the writing is absolutely atrocious. See more Read all reviews
