Curtis B May 28, 2026 Love it! Watched it again on 10th anniversary in theater. See more rich k Mar 15, 2026 Fun , 80s nostalgia, for anyone who played an instrument in school or didn't, but liked 80s music. A film with a nice plot and a very uplifting finale which is rare in most films today. See more Raphael D @raphafcruz 4 days ago I still remember watching this movie for the first time on a flight from New York to Arizona. I already had high expectations because it was directed by John Carney, who had previously made the wonderful Begin Again. But I had no idea he could make something even better! From the moment I started watching it on that tiny airplane screen, I was completely hooked. It was incredible how such a small screen could deliver such a a powerful experience. This is easily one of my top 10 favorite movies of all time. The soundtrack, the acting, the directing, the story, everything was absolutely perfect. I still believe it deserved to win the Oscar for Best Original Song. "Drive It Like You Stole It" is an incredible song, but I love "Up" even more. Both songs have stayed with me all these years. Please don't miss this movie, and if you've already seen it, keep spreading the word. It's one of those rare films that deserves to be discovered and loved by as many people as possible. See more Rolywifi T @RT32204445 Oct 9, 2026 10 years late to the party but so glad I came across this, initially tough featuring some school bullying and a nasty headmaster, but as it progresses, genuinely funny bits, endless comic music references and a feel good finale. Anyone who's formed a teenage band practicing in their mum's living room will identify with this especially as it's set brilliantly in the 80s with all the culture around this wonderful era. See more Horror fan 4 @Horrorfan4life Sep 29, 2026 Wow this movie surprised the heck out of me. The performances of these actors was phenomenal. All the characters were fun to watch and the music the band played was like they'd been playing together for years. The love connection that was made in this film was amazing. The ending is perfect along with the rest of the movie. Timothy Treakle See more Keith B @Okbullard Sep 11, 2026 It's so nice to occasionally see an upbeat film such as this. It had a great soundtrack as well. Give it a watch you'll probably be glad you did. See more Read all reviews
