Zoe Crandle's life didn't exactly turn out the way she had planned. She's facing eviction, her business is going under, and she's resigned to an existence of one-night stands. Just when it seems her whole world is unraveling, Zoe meets fellow lovable loser Paul. The pair form an instant connection, but there's just one problem -- Paul is married. The film desperately tries to be wild and out of control, but it ends up as more of a slapdash portrait of cartoony desperation than any sort of realistic depiction of millennial angst when it comes to current-day female lifestyle choices.

Social Animals. There's not much to say about this movie ... Sunday. Romantic comedy without anything new to contribute.

Not many critic reviews, but I agree with audience average of 5 out of 10. It does try too hard but has familiar faces which do a decent job of playing their parts. A weak script only can take you so far. I wouldn't say it is awful, but wouldn't watch it again. Very relatable at times, especially as a parent (Lice scene). Talks about pubes without getting too carried away (main character is a groin waxer). And doesn't focus on the nudity/sex scenes that unnecessarily slow movies down. Does use a tired cliche of a "Republican" character that finds politics more entertaining than sex. (HA) My liberal friends always seem much more interested in politics than my conservative ones. If you're a fan of any of the main characters, you will probably like it ok.
