A film that overflows with convoluted plotting and confusingly engineered jokes. But a film’s greatest sin is boring its audience, and this Street Fighter should take pride in never coming close to doing that. Go to Full Review

It simply feels like the natural zenith of an arcade player’s imagination, the “and then, and then” output of fighter fantasies running wild. By the end, you can practically see the ’90s kid smashing and kicking at the air on his way out of the theater. Go to Full Review

The story is overpacked by all the various directions it tries to home in on. The plots have to battle amongst themselves, resulting in the majority not being effective or coherent, damaging the portions of the story that circle around Ken and Ryu. Go to Full Review

The anime sequences are great, but the sloppy, disjointed middle section and ending wear out most of the movie's goodwill. Go to Full Review

Might feature some of the COOLEST animated sequences of the year, paired with genuinely awesome fight choreography, but unfortunately, that’s where the excitement ends Surprisingly boring story Go to Full Review

MO 1 hr ago its a fun time , the cast looks great. everyone looks like their having fun and the fights are well done See more Elvin T 1 hr ago it's almost as bad as the 90s film. The production botched this film at almost every turn. See more Eric C 1 hr ago It had it's fun moments here and there, but I felt it leaned too far into being goofy. Ryu and Chun Li were cast perfectly and really enjoyed their respective performances. Was disappointed in the action, not so much from a fight choreography perspective, but from constant slow mo close-ups and constant cutaways. The 90's nostalgia beats were fun. See more Noeeezy 1 hr ago An honest review from a lifelong Street Fighter fan… in short: it was bad. I grew up a fan Street Fighter since the first arcade game. Love the games and like the anime. I think the old Van Dam Street Fighter movie sucked… and unfortunately this recent Street Fighter sucked too. It does suck way less than the other live action Street Fighter movies, but there are way too many sucky parts to call it a “good movie”. The good. The anime parts were solid. I enjoyed the fight scenes and seeing the characters special moves in live action. The fight choreography, overall look and style of the movie were pretty ok (still could’ve been better by today’s standards) The bad. The story, the direction, the character development, the dialogue, the acting and comedic punchlines missed badly. Conclusion. Overall, is it complete trash? No. Did I enjoy the movie? Some parts. Do I recommend it? Meh. Probably not. This movie could’ve been awesome. Shame. And honestly? I agree with some of that. But come on, people. IT’S STREET FIGHTER! 😂 If you’re expecting Shakespeare, you’ve picked the wrong movie! I wanted fantastic fights, larger-than-life characters, ridiculous chaos, and FUN. And that’s exactly what I got! The cast was fantastic! Andrew Koji brought intensity and depth to Ryu. Noah Centineo was hilarious as Ken, Andrew Schulz surprised me with how much heart he brought to Dan, and David Dastmalchian made M. Bison his own wonderfully sadistic creation. Dhalsim, Vega, and Blanka were also standouts, with Blanka bringing some unexpected emotion to the story. And CALLINA LIANG AS CHUN-LI?! 💙🔥 Anyone who knows me knows I’ve loved Chun-Li for decades. Callina absolutely delivered! Her presence, personality, and fighting ability were everything I wanted from the character! Was the movie perfect? No. Some characters deserved more screen time, there were fights I wish we’d actually seen, and the ending relied a little too heavily on setting up a sequel. But here’s the thing: EVERYTHING THAT WAS THERE, I LOVED! And something surprised me. Ryu’s struggle with the darkness inside himself, and the friends who refused to give up on him, genuinely touched me. Having faced struggles of my own, I recognized something personal in his journey. I didn’t expect a Street Fighter movie to make me reflect on my own life, but it did. ❤️ I’ve loved this franchise for over 30 years, and this movie made me feel like a kid again. So to Paramount, Legendary, Capcom, and everyone involved, THANK YOU for embracing everything wonderfully ridiculous and heartfelt about Street Fighter! And PLEASE… GIVE US ROUND TWO! 🥊 There’s unfinished business, and I want MORE! My verdict: I LOVED IT! 5 HADOUKEN!!! Out of 5🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥💙 #StreetFighter #StreetFighterMovie #ChunLi #kenmasters #Ryu StreetFighter2026 See more Read all reviews
